Our work integrates community structures to improve cohesion and facilitate increased community engagement around healthcare services and the determinants of healthcare outcomes.
The Strengthening Systems for Safer Childbirth Initiative (S3C) - Project Aisha
A three-year intervention funded by Merck for Mothers in Lagos and Kaduna states focused on ensuring challenged and mixed health systems improve the quality of care and maternal and newborn health outcomes in Nigeria. We aim to reduce maternal deaths by 15%, improve maternal health outcomes and strengthen the health system at community, primary and secondary levels to ensure care is more responsive to women’s needs.
Embedded in this intervention is the support for the ongoing introduction of group antenatal care (GANC) services to public sector primary healthcare facilities in Lagos, an intervention that has successfully been implemented in Nasarawa, Niger, and Kaduna states, with the evidence indicating improved healthcare outcomes for both mothers and their newborns.
In this deployment, the primary role of Ingress Health Partners is to
● Lead the building of networks of community providers including TBAs, and nurse-led providers

Design and facilitate knowledge management (learning, content creation, and dissemination) for community providers and nurse-led providers

Conduct community engagement and mobilization
Together with the other members of the consortium, we will provide technical assistance to the Lagos and Kaduna state Ministries of Health, Primary Healthcare Boards, and their Maternal Newborn Child and Adolescent stakeholders at the state and community levels.
Job Summary/Overview of Position
The Project Manager under the supervision of the Project Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of the project. S/he will be responsible for ensuring project goals and objectives are met and a timely manner. S/he will engage relevant stakeholders and provide technical assistance to the state ministries of health (MoH) and its agencies in Lagos and Kaduna states in the roll-out and implementation of the project. S/he will supervise a team of project associates and analysts as they establish and support networks of community-based healthcare providers in the designated local government areas. S/he will also be expected to work closely with other consortium partners.
Duties and Responsibilities
The project manager will:

Finalize work plans, budgets, results framework, and related working documents on behalf of Ingress Health Partners.

Engage both internal and external stakeholders including the State Ministries of Health and their agencies, as well as relevant community agencies
-
Supervise the development of training documents, strategy documents, technical briefs, and other relevant resources for the state ministry of health and its agencies including the Lagos State Traditional Medicine Board.
-
Facilitate training sessions, mentoring, and supportive supervision for community healthcare providers, nurse-led providers, and primary healthcare facilities.

Promote safe respectful maternal care and integration of women’s voices into the delivery of maternal care at the community and health facility level
-
Provide technical support to strengthen the referral system within and between the community and the health facility.

Supervise the monitoring and evaluation of the project implementation
-
Work closely with MNCH specialist and Community Health Officer to develop communication, advocacy, and knowledge management plan and framework.

Work with the Administrative, Finance and Grant team to plan and organize the project activities
Eligibility Requirements
-
An excellent first degree or its equivalent from a reputable University in Medicine, Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, or other numerate disciplines.
-
Post graduate qualification in Management Science, Public Health, Health Management, Maternal and Child Health, Health systems strengthening, Quality of Care, or other related fields

Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience especially in RMNCAH in Nigeria
-
Experience with the private health sector at the community, LGA and state level in Nigeria
-
Experience in working with government stakeholders and achieving results in RMNCAH
-
Capacity to develop and design strategies for delivery of high-impact health interventions at the community level
-
Good understanding of current RMNCAH+N initiatives in Nigeria and globally
-
Expertise in Adult learning and development of training documents and guidelines
-
Experience in conducting public health research including data analysis and assessment
-
Ability to travel across states 50% of the time

Job Summary/Overview of Position
The Finance and Grants Manager under the supervision of the Project director will have day to day responsibility for the financial management of this grant, ensuring correlation between spend and outputs. S/He will be expected to take responsibility for the budget, and work with program staff on budget development and implementation.
The F&GM will support the monitoring of effective administrative policies and procedures, and will disseminate financial information to staff and vendors in a timely and efficient manner ensuring accurate stewardship reports are presented through financial reporting
Duties and Responsibilities
The F&GM will provide financial and administrative management of day-to-day office operations and all finance and administrative grants management support under the supervision of the project director. S/He will ensure standards for work environment are observed and in compliance with donor requirements. S/He will help recruit and train any additional needed finance, grants and procurement staff, strengthen procurement security, and supervise general office maintenance. S/He will also manage finance, and admin staff in the areas of enhancing administrative and personnel policies and procedures, and sub grants management.
Under the guidance and supervision of the Project Director, the F&GM, will carry out the following additional related responsibilities

Effectively plan, manage, monitor, and forecast Ingress Health Partners’ Financial Management Systems operations with clear structures, roles, and responsibilities as they are related to the S3C project

Implement a policy with clear procedures of zero tolerance for fraud, financial mismanagement, or other forms of malpractice, and continuously review and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial management and administrative policies, procedures and processes and identify improvement where necessary Ingress Health Partners especially with additional contractual or grant funding.

Regularly review the annual budget, work plan, and budget/forecast continuously; ensure implementing staff have a clear view of the working budget and clarity around their work plans and ensure prompt preparation of regular and reliable financial statements and donor reports for Ingress Health Partners.

Supervise and Implement an Accounting Systems and Data Transaction management system with integrity for Ingress Health Partners.

Supervise and manage the process of disbursing funds to program staff, procurement agents, and suppliers in a timely, transparent, and accountable manner for Ingress Health Partners.

Supervise the systems to support the management of vendor relationships, pay bills and invoices in a timely manner for Ingress Health Partners

Supervise the Audit Arrangement and Oversight mechanisms including annual audits by the internal/external auditors for Ingress Health Partners.

Perform any other work that may be assigned by the Executive Director and or Project Director

The Ingress Health Foundation and Partners (IHF&P) seeks to hire qualified skilled and capable nursing professionals who are looking to apply their patient care and public health expertise to an entrepreneurial model in a novel public health initiative.
These individuals will be engaged to provide holistic health care with emphasis on preventive and promotional healthcare. Each must be a fully certified nurse-midwife with a license to practice in Nigeria.
Preferably, this individual should reside close to Lagos Mainland/Shomolu or Surulere. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing care to patients while adhering to compliance standards; the candidate will be expected to be able to provide family-centered care, recognize patient needs and prioritize those needs with the needs outlined by physicians. Ideally, s/he should be able to provide healthcare services to patients of all ages, and be comfortable handling adolescent health care services.

Minimum requirements/Qualifications:
Registered Nurse/Midwife or BSc Nursing with community or public health certificate

CPR, BCLS certification is desirable

Additional qualifications and competencies in providing prenatal, intra partum and postnatal care, early newborn care, infant and young child feeding and nutrition advice; Knowledgeable in the current immunization policy and schedule. Invokes comfort around patients and families, and able to quickly move to a trusting relationship with them as primary care givers.
Conversant with adolescent health guidelines and procedures; Able to think outside the box regarding service provision for adolescent health;
Trustworthy and will maintain patient confidentiality
Impeccable bedside manner and Interpersonal communication skills are critical to this position.
Capable of carrying out community-based workshops. Competencies around community mobilization, interpersonal communication and garnering community support around public health concerns in the community.
Capable of self-directed learning
Competent and skilled in the use of computers with basic word processing skills, along with the use of excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Basic research skills: develop questionnaires and analyze simple data and feedback to implement change as needed.
