The Project Aisha TBA baseline study was conducted in Ifako Ijaiye and Epe local government areas to assess the pre-intervention status of traditional birth attendant services in these LGAs. Important findings include that up to half of the TBAs operating in the LGAs were not registered with the Traditional Medicine Board and were not consistently submitting their data. We worked with them and the TMB to correct this through provision of support for the revised curriculum, teaching the revised curriculum, and providing tally sheets for data submission as well as ongoing supportive supervision
